Recently there were rumors and reports that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will soon team up with Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar for the upcoming film Inspector Ghalib, it was also reported that the actor will be seen playing a title role in the film. While addressing the rumours, director Madhur Bhandarkar has now revealed that he is still working on the casting of the film and ‘Ghalib’ in the film is yet to be cast.
Madhur Bhandarkar reacts to rumors about Shah Rukh’s involvement in his film
In a chat with Indian Express, Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar confirmed that he is done with the script of his upcoming film Inspector Ghalib, however, he is still working on the casting, stating that the casting process has been delayed since he was working on his film , Babli Bouncer and so he could not find the time to decide the cast for his upcoming film.
Talking about the delay, Madhur Bhandarkar said, “Right now, the script of the film is definitely there. But I still haven’t revisited it because I was busy with India Lockdown and Babli Bouncer. Now when I release those two films this year, I’ll revisit them and see (how it goes).”
Talking about the Ghalib character, Madhur Bhandarkar said, “I have two scripts ready, including this one. From 2018-2019 I was working on three scripts, but suddenly the lockdown happened. Now I will revisit next year, let me see who my Ghalib will be. He is a very flamboyant, humorous character that comes out. At the same time, it has a very elaborate action, which adds a different dynamic to the film. It’s a completely different change for me too. After watching the trailer of Babli Bouncer, I was like, ‘Oh, you’ve done a film like this’, so I don’t know what’s going to happen after Ghalib.”

On the work front, SRK’s last film as the lead actor was Zerowhich was released in December 2018. This year he made a cameo appearance in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and Brahmastra. Fans are now eagerly waiting for the return of Shah Rukh Khan as the lead. SRK will be seen playing a RAW Agent in his upcoming film Pathan. Also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the film will hit theaters on January 5, 2023. Apart from Pathaan, it also has Atlee Jawan with south actress Nayanthara and Rajkumar Hirani directorial Dunki with Taapsee Pannu. Shah Rukh is also expected to do a cameo in Salman Khan’s film Tiger.
