Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit were seen sharing screen space in Tinnu Anand’s 1989 film Shanakht. Recently, in an interview, the director opened up about having a heated argument with Madhuri Dixit over her costume. The fight ended with Tinnu Anand almost firing her from the film, with Amitabh Bachchan acting as a pacifier between the two.
According to a report in News18, the director recently appeared on a chat show hosted by Radio Nasha. Tinnu Anand narrated the scene where Amitabh Bachchn was tied up by the bad guys with Madhuri Dixit trying to protect him.
He said, “He is trying to protect Madhuri but he is being overpowered by these goons. So Madhuri’s character says why do you attack a man in chains when a woman is standing in front of you.” The director claimed that he had already narrated the entire scene to Madhuri Dixit before signing the film.

He said, “I told her you have to take off your blouse and for the first time we have to see you in your bra. And I’m not going to hide anything behind a haystack or anything. Why are you offering to help a man who is trying to help you? So it’s a very important situation and I want to shoot it on day one. He said okay.”
He also recalled that on the day of the shoot, Madhuri Dixit refused to do the scene. He said, “Tinnu, I don’t want to do this particular scene.” He then replied, “Sorry, you have to do this scene.” She said firmly, “No, I don’t want to.” Tinnu just remembered and said, “Okay, pack up, say goodbye to the movie. I’m going to cancel my shoot.”
Tinnu Anand, worked with Amitabh Bachchan in many popular films like ‘Shahenshah’ and ‘Kaalia’. Later, Amitabh Bachchan intervened and managed to calm the situation down. Taking Madhuri Dixit’s side, Amitabh Bachchan said, “So be it, why are you arguing with her? If he objects…” Tinnu Anand quickly said, “If he had to object, he should have done so earlier, before signing the film.”

However, Madhuri Dixit’s secretary finally informed the director that she would do the scene. Talking about Madhuri Dixit’s professional front, the actress was last seen in ‘Maja Ma’ directed by Anand Tiwari.
