Eternal takes mixed reviews, but I’m pretty sure about this comedian Kumail Nanjiani will be one of the biggest highlights of the movie as Kingo, the immortal superhero with finger guns. Thanks to this new clip from the movie, in which Sersi, Ikaris and Sprite visit Bollywood starring in the shooting of his latest film, we have more evidence to support it.
Example: Kingo is not just making a movie, but making a movie about Icarus’ Eternal Brother.
There is a lot to like about this clip, with the first and foremost being the amazing work with Nanjiani’s eyebrows on the dancing scene that turns. Second, I will get Kingo to call his 7,000-year-old colleagues “college friends.” Admittedly, the fact that Kingo, the movie star, is presented as somewhat vulgar and important to himself is not a bit of a cliché, but it seems that Kingo can put it aside as soon as he learns that the Deviants are back and need to stop. My real question is, what exactly is Kingo Ikaris’ film about? Is this his brother’s lonely life? Is it the Greek myth of Icarus, which Icarus the Eternal clearly inspired in the world of MCU? What moment is supposed to represent the dance sequence that Kingo is shooting? At least we know that Nanjiani enjoyed filming, and Kingo probably did too, according to the actor.
