Austin-based EVO Entertainment has postponed its opening in Southlake for next year and announced that a Dallas location will be coming soon.
Southlake Town Square, the first of EVO Entertainment in North Texas and the eighth in the chain, will include a movie theater, bowling alley, restaurant and video game gallery in a 68,733-square-foot space.
It was originally scheduled to open in December. Now, a spokeswoman says the site will not open until next year.
“Due to changes in the construction schedule, the EVO site in Southlake is now scheduled to open in early 2022,” said spokeswoman Erica Benken. “The exact date will be announced later.”
The company has also announced that one location that includes only one cinema is next. EVO Cinemas will open at 5409 Beltline Road in Dallas’ Prestonwood neighborhood. according to the list of sites on the EVO website.
EVO Entertainment announced in June that it would open in Southlake.
“After exploring D-FW Metroplex, we determined that Southlake – particularly Southlake Town Square – was the best place to go,” Mitch Roberts, CEO of EVO Entertainment Group, told a news release.
Other locations in Texas include Austin, Fredericksburg, San Marcos, New Brownfels, Kyle, Sertz, and one that will be coming to San Antonio soon.
