New TV shows and movies added

Disney Plus new TV and movie releases for January 8-14, 2024 include Marvel Studios' Echo and a new episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 1.

On January 9, Marvel Studios' Echo comes to Disney Plus. This will be the first Disney Plus Marvel project to drop all episodes at once and will also be the first TV-MA Marvel Studios project. The show will also be released on Hulu. The story takes place after the events of Hawkeye and follows Maya Lopez, the Kingpin's step-niece as she travels back to her hometown in Oklahoma where she comes to terms with her past and comes to terms with her Native American heritage while being pursued by the Kingpin and the men because they abandoned them.

Echo is also the first Marvel project to fall under the Marvel Spotlight banner, meaning viewers don't need to have seen Hawkeye or any previous MCU work to understand the story. Daredevil will also appear in the series, marking his third MCU appearance after Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Then on January 10, viewers can watch a new episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians titled “A God Buys Us Cheeseburgers” on Disney Plus.

Other releases on Disney Plus during this week include Hamster & Gretel (S1, 3 episodes), Kiya & the Kimoja Heroes (S1, 12 episodes), BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star – Episodes 7 and 8 and new episodes of Bluey Season 3 .
