The Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who is known for his theatrical fashion statements, was the usual ostentatious self during the screening of the upcoming ’83’ film at the just-concluded Jeddah Red Sea Film Festival, and later during a stopover in Dubai and shared his ironic statements in a video he posted on his Instagram.
The video begins with the couple leaving the Jeddah airport exuding a retro atmosphere. He then presents the action behind the scenes in a photo shoot with Ranveer, before going to the couple in a packed hall for the screening of the film, with the audience cheering them on.
Ranveer Singh wore a wide range of clothing that reflected different moods and shades, from leopard prints to glam rock fashion of the early 1970s and striking disco outfits. Deepika also wore a red dress with ruffles. The couple was later joined by ’83 director Kabir Khan and his wife Mini Mathur.
For Ranveer Singh, the visit to Dubai turned out to be quite an experience, as his image as the character played in the film, the living cricket legend Kapil Dev at the 1983 World Cup, exploded and appeared on the iconic Burj Khalifa.
The film is expected to hit theaters worldwide on December 23.
