Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan The Vikram Vedha starrer is set to hit the theaters on September 30. Going by the early reviews, it looks like the Pushkar-Gayatri set will find favor with the audience and dominate the box office in the coming days. Social media has already touted Vikram Vedha as a ‘blockbuster’ and audiences are loving Saif’s character in the film.
Hrithik, who is making a comeback after three years Vikram Vedha, has been the talk of the town ever since his look in the film was released. Despite the film being a remake of the Tamil film of the same name, Hrithik has maintained many times that the two films are different. Hrithik said, “The film has already been shot. We could easily go back to it and see how they did it there and do the same. But we didn’t approach it that way. We were trying to portray Vikram as played by Saif and Vedha as played by me. We were actually creating new, not recreating.”
Vikram Vedha will clash with Ponniyin Selvan 1 at the checkout. Talking about the clash, the director of the film Pushkar said, “Ponniyin Selvan is a classic text, a story of intrigue set during the Chola Empire. You can’t beat that. It’s a six-volume book that I read a long time ago. This text has been an inspiration for every writer coming out of Chennai. We do our part and they do theirs. Hopefully people will go see both films. I think Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday. I will go and see this movie for sure.”
