Sanjana Sanghi made her Bollywood debut as a star in 2020 with Dil Bechara. We will see it later in Om: The Battle Within.
Actress Sanjana Sanghi says it was not easy for her to choose her next film after her first film Dil Bechara. The film was released in 2020.
The love story, a metaphor for John Green’s best-selling novel Fault in our Stars, saw the actor play the role of Kizie opposite the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput Manny, both cancer patients. Before Mukesh Chhabra directed Dil Bechara, Sanjana played supporting roles in films such as Rockstar, Hindi Medium and Fukrey Returns.
“The decision of what to do after Deal Behara was very important and difficult. I had been through a lot of scripts, I had gotten a lot of narratives and I had done a lot of auditions. “I did not want to jump on anything until I felt right,” Sanjana told PTI.
After much thought, the actress said that she chose to make an action-thriller film Om: The Battle Within, as it gave her the opportunity to try something new. Produced by choreographer Ahmed Khan, the film also stars Aditya Roy Kapur.
“I felt it was the right second film after Dil Bechara. Om was like a match made in paradise. Ahmed, sir, and Kapil Verma, my director, saw me as the action girl, who is incredibly strong and soulful. I did the role based on the belief they had through my performance in Dil Bechara, which is a film with strong emotions. “They had faith in me.”

In Om: The Battle Within, Sanjana plays Kavya. The actress said that they will see her do a lot of action stunts in the movie. “I have done all the stunts and sequences myself. It is important to surprise yourself as an artist and that is when your fans can be surprised. “I think playing Kavya surprised me because I never saw myself like her,” he added.
