Sardar Box Office Collection Day 2: Sees 40% Increase in Earnings

The latest Karthi starrer Tamil spy action film Sardar has received critical acclaim and has taken a decent start at the box office. The film is receiving rave reviews from whoever watched it, it is expected to increase exponentially due to word of mouth in the coming days.

It is the third film for the actor this year, he plays a double role in the film. Directed and written by PS Mithran, Sardar marks the latter’s third directorial venture.

Box Office Collection Day 2

It seems that the public buzz for Sardar is genuine and it will definitely see a boost in earnings for Sun as well. According to early reports, it is up more than 40% on the second day. As per early trade estimates, Karthi’s film collects 5.5-6 crores on Day 2. With this, Sardar’s total collections stand at 9.8-10.3 crores, domestically.

Advance booking reference day 2

Sardar cut almost double the advance ticket bookings for day 2 as compared to day 1. This shows that the positive reviews from the audience are starting to translate into ticket numbers.

It fetches 2.21 crores from ticket sales, out of which 1.95 Cr+ came from Tamil and 25L+ came from Telugu. It also touched 1 Lakh in terms of ticket sales for Saturday, on the first day it had sold only 78000 tickets from the reservations.

All about Sardar

Along with Karthi, it stars Raashii Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan. Chunky Pandey is making his Tamil debut while other actors include Laila, Rithvik, Munsihkanth, Sahan Vasudevan, Ilavarasu, Yugi Sethu, Swaminathan and Vijay Varadharaj. Sardar is bankrolled by S.Lakhsman Kumar under the banner of Prince Pictures.

It marks Karthi’s third film of 2022, after Viruman and PS-1, in addition to his voiceover in Vikram – the 2nd highest grossing Tamil film ever – for the role of Dilli.
