Saw 10 release date is set for October 2023

There’s more ‘Saw’ to end in 2023, as Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures just announced that the next installment of the billion-dollar franchise will arrive with a new film slated for release on October 27, 2023. This will be its tenth film highly successful franchise.

The film will be directed by Kevin Greutert, who directed “Saw VI” (2009) and “Saw: The Final Chapter” (2010) and served as editor for the first five installments and “Jigsaw” (2017). Greutert is a franchise fan favorite, with many defending his chops in his two innings. In addition to the Saw films, he has also directed the films Jessabelle (2014) with Sarah Snook and Visions (2015) with Isla Fisher.

The plot of the new entry is being kept under wraps, but the studio promises that the film will capture the “hearts — and other body parts — of fans with brand new twists, clever traps and a new mystery to solve.”

“We’ve been listening to what fans have been asking for and we’re hard at work designing a movie that Saw fans and horror fans alike will love,” said franchise producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules. “And part of that is handing over the reins to Kevin Greutert, director of Saw VI, which continues to be a fan favorite in the entire series. More details will be revealed soon.”

Starting in 2004 with its inaugural entry, the ‘Saw’ films have collected healthy box office receipts. The second film, starring Donnie Wahlberg, was the highest-grossing installment, grossing over $147 million worldwide.
