Paramount Pictures has unveiled the new poster for Sonic the Hedgehog 2: The Movie. However, it is not just that. The studio also revealed that a new trailer for the film will be released tomorrow, December 9th.

As announced on Twitter, Paramount showed the first poster for the sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog. In the tweet, the company also announced that the world premiere of the new trailer of the film will be released tomorrow during The Game Awards. The movie poster shows Sonic and the Tails as they try to avoid Dr. Jim Carrey’s Robotnik in a high-octane airplane chase over an urban city below.

Recently, Tails voice actress Colleen O’Shaughnessey announced that she would be returning to voice her son Sonic when the film is released on April 8, 2022. O’Shaughnessey is the latest English voice actor to play Tails, having play the character in the Sonic Boom 2014 TV series and the Sonic Boom video game.

“I’m taking my old friend Tails for another adventure,” O’Shaughnessey said on Twitter. “I’m excited to announce that I’m the voice of Miles” Tails “Prower on # SonicMovie2! I’m looking forward to seeing him on the big screen.” The voice actor also portrayed Tails during a final scene for the original live-action film Sonic the Hedgehog, where the character was seen trying to locate Sonic.

In addition to O’Shaughnessey, the film will feature a number of other notable stars. Ben Schwartz is set to return as Sonic’s voice, Jim Carrey will star as Dr. Robotnik and Idris Elba will make their debut as Knuckles the Echidna.

Despite being voted the sexiest man in 2018, actor Luther and MCU said he would not try to make the echidna “sexy” during an interview that featured Knuckles earlier this year. “Conventionally, I can not say anything,” he said when asked. “But I would not say it was sexy. I do not think I will do that. That’s for sure.”
