Two years ago, Utah Jazz All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell – nicknamed Spida – appeared in an ad promoting “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”
Now, there is reason to believe that he is appearing in Spider-Man’s latest film, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which is set to be released on Friday.
Over the weekend, the film’s official Twitter account posted an ad with George Kittel with the San Francisco 49ers star and ESPN football analyst Mina Kimes, reviewing a list of rumors circulating about the film.
When they get the idea that Mitchell could be in the movie, Keatle says “Crazy.”
Kim then says, “Speed Mitchell, Spider-Man. “It’s almost too logical.”
Then SportsCenter presenter Scott Van Pelt appears, and then the ad goes to Mitchell himself, who says, “Wait, I’m in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home?’
Then comes Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man, saying: “Spida Mitchell. “How do these crazy rumors start?”
Jamie Foxx, who plays Electro, then appears, saying, “Dude, people will believe anything about this movie,” taking a suspicious look at the camera as it does so.
Mitchell tweeted Sunday, simply writing “Hmmm” with some cryptic (but probably not so cryptic) facial emoji and a spider emoji.
