With Oscars 2023 for Telugu film RRR rising in the West, the team including SA Rajamouli, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan hosted a special screening of the film at The Directors Guild of America Theater for Academy members earlier this month. A clip from the session is going viral where Rajamouli spoke to the media before the screening. He explains it in the clip RRR its not a bollywood movie but a telugu movie from south india.

Talking about the songs and battle sequences, Rajamouli explained, “RRR it’s not a bollywood movie, it’s a telugu movie from south india where i come from but i use the song to move the story forward instead of stopping the movie and giving you a piece of music and dance. I’m just using those elements to move the story forward.”

He added: “At the end of the film, if you say I didn’t feel it for three hours, then I know I’m a successful director.”

RRR‘s’Naatu Naatuwon Best Original Song at the 2023 Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards. The film won Best Foreign Language Film at the Critics Choice Awards 2023. The song has been nominated for Best Original Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’ for the 2023 Oscars.

RRR Starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles along with Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in special roles. The film released last year in March and became a huge hit.
