We were close right from Kai Po Che to Dil Behara. He had promised me that he would be in my first film. So many plans were made together, so many dreams were dreamed together, but never once did I imagine that I would be alone to release this film. It was always showered with immense love on to me while I was making it and his love will guide us as we release it.” Actor Sushant Singh Rajput met his tragic fate and passed away before the film’s release on 14 June 2020.
