Abhishek Kapoor became a director with Άριος (2006) but his film career took on a new lease of life Rock it (2008). In the meantime, they also tried to collaborate on Abhishek’s Kashmir epic Fitoor (2016) but this did not materialize. Since then he has given interviews and made several posts on social media, where he opened Sushant and how much he misses . Just 2 days ago, Abhishek Kapoor uploaded a photo with Sushant from Kedarnath scenes with a beautiful message to mark the third anniversary of the film.
The next Abhishek Kapoor Chandigarh Kare AashiquiIt, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor, will be released tomorrow, on December 9th. Fans of Sushant Singh Rajput would be surprised to see that in the original disclaimer, Abhishek paid tribute to the late actor. A plaque before the start of the film shows a picture of Sushant with the text “In memory of… Sushant Singh Rajput”. The date of birth and the date of death of the actor are mentioned together with the words “Stay Interstellar”, something that Abhishek had written in his post immediately after the death of the actor.
Earlier this year, on Sushant’s birthday, January 21, Abhishek Kapoor’s gesture won hearts. He and his producer wife Pragya Kapoor planned a plantation walk in the actor’s memory. They planted up to 1,000 trees, a wish that was included in Sushant Singh Rajput’s bucket list shared in 2019.
