Taylor Swift and Disney are back together, bigger than ever.
Mouse House CEO Bob Iger just revealed on the company's latest earnings call that the superstar ticket has been punched Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour The film will debut on Disney+ on March 15. For those Swifties who put in the timing, the announcement comes on the same day Swift kicks off the 2024 leg of her Eras tour with three nights of shows at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.
Although an extended version of The Eras Tour available to rent to other streamers for over a month, Disney+ will be the exclusive online home for the Sam Wrench-directed concert film. In this, this version of Taylor's Eras Tour The film will feature five more songs that were not released in either the film or digital version. The exact list of five new songs for Disney+ Eras Tour (Taylor Edition) The moves aren't known right now — but we do know that fan favorite “Cardigan” will be among them.

The track from 2020 Folklore The album was a centerpiece of Swift's $1 billion and over tour that kicked off on March 17th in Glendale Arizona and ended in 2023 in Sao Paulo, Brazil on November 26th.

Earning more than $262 million worldwide since its release on October 11, 2023, the Eras Tour The film was shot over three nights last summer during the singer's week-long stint at LA's SoFi Stadium. Billing himself as a Swiftie, Iger was in attendance at at least one of those shows.

It certainly wasn't the first time Disney was in the house with Taylor Swift.
In 2020, Disney+ was the home of the underdogs Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessionswhich Swift starred in, directed and produced. Opening on November 25, the Hudson Valley-themed documentary saw Swift perform and perform all 17 tracks from her Folklore alum.
Most recently, Disney's Searchlight Pictures teamed up with Swift for her feature directorial debut. Announced in December 2023, the project is based on an original script written by Swift, which will be produced by the studio.
