From Ascension Parish to the big screen, a local fourth grader is set to star in one of Hallmark Channel’s latest Christmas movies.
It’s called “Every Time A Bell Rings” and in this movie, you will find nine-year-old Claire Taranto from Prairieville.
“I’m the young version of Emily that you’ll see in the movie,” Claire said.
He says he started shooting the film at the Natchez in Mississippi in September.
“It was great because when I went to school the next day, I told all my friends that I was playing in a movie. They were really excited,” Claire said.
Her father, Michael Taranto, says Claire has been playing on stage since she was two years old and has continued to develop her skills through the gifted and talented Ascension Parish program.
“She’s been growing up as an actress since she was younger. She actually starred in a musical when she was very young called Evangeline. This was her first stage appearance,” she said.
The film, about rekindling their brotherly bond through old holiday traditions, is a moving story of hope and healing.
“I watched it twice and it was one of my favorite Christmas movies,” Claire said.
The movie, “Every Time A Bell Rings”, premieres on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday at 10 / 9c.
