James DeMonaco is best known for his creation The purge franchise, and directed the first three installments himself before handing over the reins to Gerard McMurray and Everardo Gout for The First Liquidation and The Forever Purge respectively, but is ready to come back behind the camera for the sixth dose.
However, the warning is that he will only do so if Frank Grillo’s Leo Barnes is in the spotlight. The director and the star fully agree with the idea and the script has already been written, they are just waiting for Blumhouse and Universal to give the green light to the project.
DeMonaco has branched out with its latest feature This is the Night, a dramatic adult comedy that revolves around its release Rocky III, but will return to familiar turf with Home. The mystery horror has attached Pete Davidson and the first details are reportedly revealed by Murphy’s Multiverse.
The On Saturday night live The veteran will play Max, who receives social service at the local nursing home, but soon discovers that something awful is hiding in the shadows. That’s all we have to go through, but DeMonaco and Davidson are friends and neighbors, so hopefully their off-screen chemistry translates into appropriate kind of emotions when Home shoots early next year.
