The first teaser for Ryan Reynolds and John Krasinski’s new film IF is here.
Ahead of the film’s first trailer arriving on Thursday (December 14) a new poster for IF (previous title Fantastic friends) has been revealed, giving us our first official look at the upcoming film.
The poster depicts a large purple hand – apparently belonging to one of the film’s imaginary friends – reaching out of a window next to the phrase: “A story you have to see to believe.”
IF was written and directed by Krasinski and is his last work behind the camera since 2018 A quiet place and so on A Quiet Place Part II (2020). Originally announced in 2019, the film is currently slated to hit theaters sometime during May 2024.

While specific plot details currently remain under wraps, a synopsis for IF reveals that the film will follow a young girl who can see people’s imaginary friends.
Besides Krasinski and Deadpool Reynolds stars, so does the movie The Walking Dead star Cailey Fleming, Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr, Killing Eve actress Fiona Shaw, Alan Kim and Liza Colón-Zayas.
Krasinski will also reunite with a former co-star in the film, as an ex The US Office Actor Steve Carell will also appear in the film.
Production images revealed last year showed both Reynolds and Fleming on set, with the two actors playing a father-daughter duo.

Carell previously shared his thoughts on working with Krasinski again, joking that it would make his former co-star’s job as a director more difficult.
“I’m going to put him through his paces, you know? I’m going to make him work for it,” he said ET in June 2022.
“I might be one of those actor viewers who don’t always agree or won’t come out of my trailer. You think you hired a friend, but you’re wrong!”
IF will open in theaters in May 2024.
