This next film, One Piece: Red, has been announced to be released next August in Japan and while there is still no real confirmation of what to expect from its history, there is a lot to expect. Specifically, the director behind the new film, Goro Taniguchi, is not actually part of Toei Animation, but is best known for his work overseeing the anime franchise Code Geass. To celebrate joining the new film, Taniguchi posted a special statement about One Piece: Red.
