The upcoming Netflix movie “The Thanksgiving Text” will tell the story of a grandmother who accidentally invited a stranger to dinner

Netflix turns a viral Thanksgiving story into an upcoming holiday movie.

The text of Thanksgiving will follow its true story Wanda Dench, a grandmother who accidentally sent a message with an invitation to Thanksgiving Jamal Hinton, who was a senior at the time.

Wanda she thought she was texting her grandson, but she was texting the wrong number. Never Jamal got the message, informed Wanda that she is not his grandmother, but jokingly asked to get her a plate for Thanksgiving dinner anyway.

“Of course you can. That’s what Grandma…. Feed everyone,” she replied.

Wanda and Jamal have spent every Thanksgiving together since it happened in 2016 and the followers have started to love their story.

The couple issued a statement saying: “We are excited to share our story with the world. We hope it will inspire more people to reach out and make connections they would not normally make. “We are so blessed to find a genuine friendship that God brought with us from the wrong text message.”

The script for The text of Thanksgiving will be written by Abdul Williams, previously written Salt-N-Peppermint and The story of Bobby Brown, according Variety.
