The thieves also allegedly wrote “catch us if you can” in Odia on the board. The school principal reported the matter to the police

In a heist allegedly inspired by the Bollywood movie ‘Dhoom’, thieves stole computers and other electronic items from a high school in Nabarangpur district on Friday night, people familiar with the matter said.

When the Indravati project high school in Nabarangpur’s Khatiguda area opened on Saturday morning, school officials found the principal’s room locks broken and computers, printer, photocopier, weighing machine and sound box missing. What irked the school authorities were the scrawls on the school board which read: ‘Dhoom 4’, ‘we will be back’, ‘coming soon’.

Dhoom 4 is an upcoming cops and thieves Bollywood sequel. Dhoom-3 was released in 2013.

The thieves also allegedly wrote “catch us if you can” in Odia on the board.

School principal Sarbeswar Behera, who first came to know about the theft, said he has reported the matter to the Khatiguda police station.

Earlier, computers and electronics were stolen from Dahana School under Nandahandi Block and Tentulikhunti Block Education Office in a similar manner.
