Kangana Rant is on cloud nine these days despite her latest film Dhaakad flopping big time at the box office apart from being generally panned by the critics. The reason is this Kangana is well and truly in the midst of her next release, Urgentin which she essays the role of one of the former Prime Ministers of India Indira Gandhi. And now, we hear it Kangana Ranaut may be part of another hot topic it seems National Award-winner Manager Madhur Bhandarkar he wishes to cast her in a future film.
Will Kangana Ranaut and Madhur Bhandarkar join hands?
According to a report in Mid-Day, director Madhur Bhandarkar is planning another female-oriented film after his upcoming release Babli Bouncer starring Tamannaah Bhatia. The said movie is supposed to be based on a real life Kashmiri singer who was apparently murdered by terrorists and he really wants to get 4x National Award Winner Kangana Ranaut on board for the lead role. However, the report further states that the fate of the recent women’s films has given the producer Firoz Nadiadwala cold feet and the project can go on the backburner. There is also the issue that the producer has not been able to start a film since Welcome Back.
Kangana Ranaut defends Dhaakad as a flop
Kangana Ranaut recently posted a screenshot on her Instagram story of the link of an untrusted website, labeling a bunch of recently released films as ‘flops’, in order to champion Dhaakad as the year’s biggest box office hit. Sharing the script, he wrote, “Every day I wake up to hundreds of articles that Dhaakad is a failure… and no one talks about these big disasters… no specific reason?” But to set the record straight, Gangubai Kathiawadi is a smash and JugJugg Jeeyo is a semi-hit.
