“Tiger 3” starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will release this Diwali on November 12. This is YRF Spyverse’s first film to release on Diwali. Yash Raj Films VP Distribution Rohan Malhotra recently revealed in an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in why they chose Diwali, November 12, as the release date for ‘Tiger 3’.
“I always think it’s perfectly fine to do the conventional and there’s no need to reinvent it if there’s no need. In this case, however, what came to our mind was that it is important for us not to look at the opening day numbers but to focus on what will ultimately benefit, and in the case of ‘Tiger 3’, we certainly felt that the day of Laxmi Puja, which is considered the weakest day to release a film, would suit our film better,” said Rohan.
He added, “This came to us for the simple reason that at the beginning of the year, we had a film like ‘Pathaan’. If we had followed the conventional way, we would have released the film on Republic Day, where we were definitely assured a certain number. But at YRF, we focused on the life of the film and came a day early. It worked like a dream. We got crazy numbers. It came from a simple belief that we had made a good film with a superstar, Shah Rukh Khan and Andy, and all of us at YRF believed in his stardom.”
Reiterating his faith in Salman Khan and his stardom, Rohan shared, “With ‘Tiger 3’, we know the film is great and we truly believe in Mr. Salman Khan’s charisma and charisma to bring the audience to the theatres. While the convention has to be released on New Year, we at YRF are releasing our second movie post ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ on Laxmi Puja. We sincerely believe that we will open with good numbers and take it into the Diwali weekend.”

“Tiger 3” marks the return of Salman as Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger for the third time in the franchise. Shah Rukh Khan will make a cameo appearance in the YRF film. Two days before the film’s release, Salman and Katrina talked about their Diwali release and how special the film is to them. Salman also mentioned that he will watch the film with his family.
