A successful press conference of the recent edition Zara Hatke Zara Bachke was held today at a multi venue in Mumbai and was graced by Vicky Kaushal, Sara Ali Khan, director Laxman Utkar and producer Dinesh Vijan. The comedy-drama has emerged as a surprise hit, raking in Rs. 30.60 crores in five days. Vicky Kaushal gave a moving speech at the event where she spoke highly of Laxman Utekar and Dinesh Vijan.
Vicky Kaushal said:Hum aap sab se thanks keh rahe hai kyunki ek aisi movie theater gharon mein chali hai jiska motor home jab aaya tha, toh log keh rahe i ki,’So yes prime example hey, yes tho OTT come on haha.”
He continued, “More than us, it’s the audience’s victory. Among all of us, Laxman sir was the most confident. He used to say,Mujhe intensity no yes Mujhe pata hai ki yeh kahani logon tak pahuchegi. Image kitni hallegi, muje nahin pata par connect-connect zaroor karega. Who’s son? nahin bolega ki maine connect-connect Nahin Kiya’.”
Vicky then thanked Dinesh Vijan, “He had every reason to bring Zara Hatke Zara Bachke on the OTT platform. He would be absolutely right in everyone’s eyes. But he took a risk to release a film like this in the cinema halls in this day and age. Sir, uske liye dil se thanks kahunga. Hamare is film mein dus rupaye bhi nahin lage hai. Aapke saare paise lage hai.”
Vicky Kaushal continued, “We took this date (too late) and decided to release the film on June 2. Mr. Dinoo sat in his office until 3am with his wonderful team at Maddock to figure out how we can reach out to people and let them know that “aisi bhi ek film aa rahi hai; please mauka dijiye iss film no.”
