Shows like “Star Trek: Bizarre New World” and Star Wars’ “Obi-Wan Kenobi” feature characters created 40 years ago. Both shows go into “rewind machines,” bringing creatures and characters from old tales to use in new shows. And both are making the most of this opportunity.
The fifth episode of “Obi-Wan Kenobi” hit the peak of Darth Vader’s (Hayden Christensen) abilities and was probably the most emotional. In the episode, Vader became close with his rival and former mentor, Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). Vader sets a trap for his former master, but Kenobi uses Vader’s feelings to escape.

Similarly, in the seventh episode of “Strange New Worlds”, Spock (Ethan Peck) is also emotionally out of control. Unlike Darth Vader, who causes emotional outbursts such as killing members of his army and using the Force to stop a runaway space freighter, the human side of Spock is kidnapped by space pirates to take over the world. ‘Enterprise.
Attention Readers: The following article contains spoilers and information for “Star Trek: Bizarre New World” Season 1: Episode 7, “The Silent Gust”.
Jesse James Keitel was later identified as Captain Angel, the leader of a space pirate gang, Dr. He played Aspen. The angel controlled Spock by manipulating Spock’s emotions and tricking him into gaining access to the ship’s controls.
Longtime fans will nod to “The Original Series” throughout the episode. In particular, there’s a mention of Vulcan whom T’Pring (Gia Sandhu) would choose over Spock. The character who first appeared in the classic episode “Amok Time” is Stone. In “The Silent Gust”, Stonn was played by actor Roderick McNeil, but originally played by Lawrence Montaigne.
The kiss between Spock and Nurse Chapel (Jess Bush) is an extension of the love Chapel showed in “Amok Time.” The episode aired in 1967 and the chapel was portrayed by Majel Barrett (Roddenberry).

As mentioned in a previous Heavy article, “Star Trek” creator Gene Roddenberry didn’t want space pirates to appear on the show. In his “Star Trek” writer/director’s handbook, Roddenberry wrote that the story of the space pirates is “bad science fiction.”
However, Trek has featured many stories of pirates beyond Earth’s oceans. This includes the classic “Next Generation” episode “The Outrageous Okona,” featuring actor Billy Campbell as the infamous con man and transvestite. Campbell will return to Trek and reprise the role in the episode “Star Trek: Lower Decks”.

About halfway through the episode, Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Dr. M’Benga (Babs Olusanmokun), La’an Noonien-Singh (Christina Chong), and a few other sailors have been taken prisoner by pirates. As they passed the Serene Squall spacecraft, an ugly alien with pale green skin and pointy ears appeared. This individual could certainly belong to several Trek species, but it could have been a Reman.
Reman has only appeared a few times in the “Star Trek” canon. Their first appearance was in ‘Nemesis’, the final chapter of the movie ‘Next Generation’. Reappeared in ‘Star Trek: Enterprise’. Wraith was himself a derivative of the Romulans, another version of the Vulcans.
However, it makes sense to use Reman as the villain of the pirate sailors, since we’ve never encountered a Romulan at this point in the canonical “Star Trek” story.

Fans may have noticed the T’Pring piloting a Vulcan starship with a familiar cockpit. Because anyone who’s seen “Star Trek (2009)” knows that Typring sits in a cockpit nearly identical to Spock’s ship, Jellyfish. The exterior of the ship did not look like a jellyfish, but the interior of the triangle was unmistakable. Thanks to the creators of Jellyfish, designer Ryan Church and cartoonist Bryan Hitch.

A big reveal that shouldn’t be underestimated happened in the final moments of the “silent burst”. Fans got a glimpse of Spock’s siblings. No, not Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Jones) famous for “Discovery”. We’re talking about Sybok, who has only appeared once in Trek history, and only once before “The Serene Squall.” His appearance was in “Star Trek V: Final Frontier”.
As Spock explained at the end of the episode, Sybok was his half-brother, born out of wedlock to his father Sarek. This mysterious character was taken to the rehabilitation center of which Tipring was the director. Spock was the villain he thought Captain Angel was really aiming for, and every manipulation was designed to hide that fact.
Laurence Luckinbill first played Sybok, whose role sounded a lot like the charismatic Space Jesus. He took control of the Enterprise and reached the gods. Kirk (William Shatner) and the rest of the crew rode, and the adventure turned out to be a commercial disappointment.
Sybok’s presence in the series is a clear guarantee that “Star Trek V” is canon, as some fans have wondered.
The Heavy asked if Saibok would return to “Star Trek” in April 2021, and we were right. We also said that “Star Wars” and “Battlestar Galactica” actor Sam Witwer would like to play Saibok. It is not publicly known who played Sai Bok in “Tranquil Storm”.
