For those staying overnight, there is an amazing range of movies on TV tonight to keep you entertained.

Here are our selections from the lot.

Donnie Brasco – Dave – 9 p.m.

Johnny Depp and Al Pacino star in this great crime thriller about an FBI undercover detective.

Zombieland – Syfy – 9 p.m.

A very funny zombie comedy with an unforgettable cameo by Bill Murray.

Fighting – Turner Classic Movies – 9 p.m.

Channing Tatum plays a young forger who is introduced to the world of underground street racing.

Parasite – Channel 4 – 10 p.m.

Our choice for tonight, Parasite focuses on the symbiotic relationship between two families, one rich and the other poor.

Revealing more would spoil the fun of this modern South Korean classic – a movie that begins to feel like a comic, fun caper before it transforms into something angry, exciting and intense modern.

Unsurprisingly, it made history in 2020, becoming the first non-English language film to win an Academy Award for Best Picture.

Speaking of the Oscars, Philip Seymour Hoffman won an Oscar for his role as American author Truman Capote in this biopic.

Dead Calm – Turner Classic Movies – 23.15

Billy Zane, Nicole Kidman and Sam Neal in this tense ocean horror thriller.

Apocalypse Now: The Final Cut – BBC One – 12.10 p.m.

The preferred version of director Francis Ford Coppola’s war epic, which is one of the best films ever made.

I went down – RTÉ One – 12.15 p.m.

Brendan Gleeson and Peter McDonald star in this acclaimed Irish action comedy.
