Bollywood recently saw the trailer for the upcoming horror film starring Nushrratt Bharuccha entitled Chhorii, directed by Vishal Furia- remake of the 2017 Marathi movie Lapachapi. In the original film, the actress Pooja Sawant starred as the protagonist who played the role of a pregnant lady who experiences paranormal activities around her.
Pooja, who received an amazing response for her role and was nominated for Best Actress at the 2016 Madrid International Film Festival, spoke about the remake of the film in Hindi. He said, “I’m very proud. When we were making Lapachapi, we never thought about what might happen to this movie. It was a huge success and received recognition at many film festivals, including the Madrid Film Festival and the London Film Festival. And now the movie is back in Hindi, this movie gets what it deserves. “
Nushratt Bharuccha will be seen repeating the role that Pooja played 5 years ago in Marathi cinema. Speaking about the remake and Nushratt who will play her role, Pooja said: “I am very excited that Nusharatt is playing the lead role. She is a great actress and I am very confident that she will do everything she can to play this character. “This role will always be Be close to my heart. It was an interesting character and a challenging role. The Hindi remake of course brings more audience, but the original will always be close to my heart.”
He added: “Vishal is a very good director. When he told me about Lapachhapi, I immediately said yes without a second thought. It made the process very easy. We shot the film in 16 days, it only happens when the ship’s caption is confident. Still “And with the remake, I’m sure it will add a special touch and bring something unique to the fore. I’m glad I worked with Vishal at Lapachapi, I’re really looking forward to working with him again soon.”
Pooja started her career in 2008. She also won a beauty pageant later, which earned her fame. She is known for her performance in Dagdi Chawl. Pooja is set to appear later in the Marathi horror film, Bali which is expected to be released soon. He will also appear in the upcoming Marathi movie, Love U Mitra with Gashmeer Mahajani, will be directed by Mansi Bagla, who is the producer of Vikrant Massey and the protagonist Radhika Apte Forensic.
