Ananya Panday is enjoying the success of her latest Gehraiyaan release these days. The film, which was released on Amazon Prime Video last month, was well received by critics, even though it received rave reviews from viewers. In her short career, Ananya has already worked on a remake – Pati, Patni Aur Woh – but the actress hopes this is the extent of the remake of her career at the moment. In a recent interview, the actress said that she hopes that the trend of remakes in Bollywood will stop. In a recent interaction, Ananya talked about wanting to do more new work and follow a path where there is more original, fresh content for the audience. She said she was no longer sure how she felt about the remakes.
Speaking to ETimes, Ananya said: “I hope we do not do any more remakes. I’m really happy with that. I do not really want to see more remakes. “
“I think they know exactly what their audience wants. They also create a different kind of magic. I personally do not know how I feel about remakes anymore,” he said.
Ananya is currently working on Puri Jagannadh’s Liger, starring Vijay Deverakonda, alongside former world boxing champion Mike Tyson. Ananya and Vijay were recently spotted talking heartily at the birthday of filmmaker Apoorva Mehta in Mumbai on Thursday night.
In addition to Liger, Ananya is also shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav.
