Peaky Blinders Creator Steven Knight said the characters introduced in the sixth season are helping to create the upcoming film based on the series.

While the characters Tommy (Cillian Murphy) and Arthur Shelby (Paul Anderson) have been confirmed for the upcoming film, the rest of the cast has not yet been confirmed.
Now, in an interview with honorable sirKnight said that the new characters in the sixth season, which is currently airing on BBC One and will be released on Netflix in June, will shape the direction of the film.
He said: “In series six we bring the new generation and it will be part of what is happening in [the] film. I think it’s to find those actors that you just see and think, go. That’s the future.
“The movie, I know exactly what it’s about. And I know what two stories he is going to tell. How the story will unfold, I do not know. “What happens after that, I want it to depend on the film.”
He then added: “We know someone will come out – I think I know who they will be.”
Earlier, the director of series six Anthony Byrne said Digital spy that Knight wanted to do a spin-off series with the younger members of the cast.
He said: “Steve wants to do a spin-off show with younger Peakies who can be seen coming to London and causing chaos and possibly getting involved with other gangs.”
Bryne, meanwhile, has recently responded to some criticism for last season.
While the season has been widely praised by critics and fans, some have criticized the series’ pace and lack of action compared to previous seasons.

said Byrne Radio Times that he has no “problem” with criticism, but added: “You can not continue to give people what they expect.”
And he continued: “You play a show like Peaky this is culturally relevant, it’s a television phenomenon, and there is an expectation: “I want Arthur to drive shit out of people and I want Tommy to be Tommy and much more Peaky material.’
“It was the fourth season. The fourth season was a gangster season with the Italians and the Peakys. There were a lot of gangster things and weapons and all that. And then the fifth season was about the rise of fascism and it was darker.
“Season six is a piece of character for the darkness of Tommy Shelby’s soul and is how far he will have to go to be able to get out. And will there be anything left of him? This is for me. And the audience that loves the character will accompany him because he is on a journey with this guy, with Tommy Shelby.
“There will always be an element of people who want exactly the same things, but we are not in it because it has to evolve and it has to change. And it should challenge the expectations of the public and lead you to a much deeper experience than you expect. “
