Next December, 13 years later Avatar broke a worldwide ticket record, James Cameron’s popular science fiction franchise will finally return to the big screen. Cameron has four more Avatar movies on the street, the first of which will arrive at the end of 2022, and fans can not wait to finally see what the return to Pandora has in store. Virtually nothing is known about the plot of this next one Avatar movie, except that it takes place near the oceans of Pandora. Now we finally know why.
Avatar 2 Producer Jon Landau spoke recently Total Film Magazine as part of the 2022 preview issue of the release and opened up the story of the long-awaited sequel. Avatar 2 starts more than a decade after the original film, staying true to the time it has spent in real life. Sam Worthington’s Sully and Zoe Saldana’s Neytiri have become parents and are raising their own family. Their lives are turned upside down when the RDA mining company returns to Pandora and forces them to flee.
“And when you get to the reef, there’s a tribe we call the Metkayina,” Landau said. “The Sullys are no longer in the environment they know, the rainforest. They become fish out of water. They become fish out of water both culturally and simply environmentally.”
Landau also explained that what makes history Avatar 2 so strong and inherent is its ability to incorporate themes beyond a single species.
“The scripts are the blueprint we are working on,” the producer explained. “So much of the time we wrote … challenging that each of these four scenarios had to be solved separately in a story that concludes with a great deal of emotional analysis – but when you look at them as a whole, the connected of four films creates an even greater epic epic “.
“I think his story Avatar 2“And the power of the story is what Jim always does in any of his films: he writes on universal issues that are bigger than any other genre.” rather than family. At the center of each of our sequels is the Sally family. “What are the dynamics that parents go through to protect their family?”
Avatar 2 is set to hit theaters on December 16, 2022. The first Avatar is currently streaming on Disney +.
