Brahmastra dance floor “Cesareans” storm on social media in April 2022 in just a few seconds. The song, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Each version received applause and much discussion among listeners about its lyrics. But before the romantic version, Ayan Mukerji had shot a dance version of the track before begging everyone to reshoot keeping the mood of the film.

Revealing this dance version mix of ‘Caesarea On Friday, as the nation celebrated Navratri, Ayan Mukerji wrote a note, which read: “Well… Before “Cesareans” became the song we all know and love today, it was… This! A more danceable groovier version of the song! As you can see now, we have already turned it around. Then I realized that the film needed a more romantic version of the Song, the true version of “Cesareans” was created, I begged and convinced everyone to reshoot it… and I thought we would never show anyone this previous version of “Cesareans”.”
He added, “But now – our film has done really well, the festive season is coming up, and even though this version of the song wasn’t right for the film… it’s still a lot of fun and we all love it! So we’re thinking of having a little fun and releasing it this weekend with the Video we shot! (Us?!!!) Let’s say it… KESARIYA… DANCE MIX!”
While the film is already a blockbuster with the song becoming an anthem, Ayan Mukerji revealed at FICCI Frames 2022 that Karan Johar forced him to reshoot the song. At the closing of the event the guests of the show were Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji. He said, “There were things that Karan didn’t like. There was a long Kaali Puja sequence in the film. When you (Karan) saw the series, you were very harsh. He really bit about it. I hope I may be allowed to say that word.’
However, Karan disagreed with his statement and said, “I never did that. I said the scene was too terrible and I said you should reshoot it. And in fact there was, and we can say it now, “Cesareans” was shot in another way.”
““Cesareans” was shot with Ranbir dancing quite feverishly. When we saw the song, I was like “What the hell is going on? What’s wrong with you Ayan? Why were they dancing?’ “Caesarians” shot differently. Same melody and tune but with a different treatment. It was then that Ayan realized that he should be treated differently,” Karan further said.
Written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, “Caesarians” has been sung by Arijit Singh and composed by Pritam. Brahmastra released in theaters on September 9, 2022.
