The much talked about and long awaited release Brahmastra hit the screens last week on Friday. Directed by Ayan Mukherji, the film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy grabbed headlines ahead of its release. Touted as one of the biggest fundraisers of the year, Brahmastra came with huge hopes and expectations. Following suit, the film opened on a thunderous note, aided by the wide screen and hype around it.

Yes, at the North American box office Brahmastra did pretty well. Enjoying one of the biggest releases for a Bollywood film in the recent past, the Ayan Mukherji directorial managed to collect a whopping USD 4.36 million [Rs. 34.60 cr.] only on its opening weekend. Dubbed in multiple languages ​​and in a variety of formats from IMAX 3D to regular 2D, Brahmastra attracted audience interest across all demographics.
