Chloé Zhao got to Instagram to tease her upcoming science fiction, western interpretation of Dracula by presenting a vampire who appears to be riding a horse.

In a recent post on the social networking platform, Zhao revealed a photo of a creature that looks very much like the original Nosferatu, wearing a cap with a feather inside and holding on to what looks like a reins. Given the little we know about Zhao’s film, it seems safe to assume that the creature is riding a horse. You can see the post below:
Not much is known about Zhao’s upcoming film about Dracula, but the first references to the film noted that it would be “an original, futuristic, science fiction western” that would also explore the themes and meanings of living in edge of society. is something that Zhao has often explored in her work. “I have always been fascinated by vampires and the concept of the Other that they embody. “I’m very excited to be working with Donna, Peter and the Universal team to re-imagine such a beloved character,” Zhao said when the project was first announced.

Zhao is set to produce the film through the Highwayman banner with Universal. The 39-year-old director, who won the Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture Nomadland Last year, it also recently released its first blockbuster on Marvel Studios. Eternal.
