Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, is set to be a monumental mythological drama. We have an exciting update on his casting!
After the debacle of Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan starrer Adipurush, which was a remake of the Hindu epic Ramayana, the focus has now shifted to Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming magnum opus. The Dangal director is gearing up to present his version of the Ramayana, promising a cinematic masterpiece of unprecedented scale that captures the essence of India’s mythological heritage.
From what we all had heard till now, Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana was going to feature Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Alia Bhatt as Sita. While RK is very much a part of the film, Zoom TV Digital has exclusively learned that Alia will not be essaying the role of Sita.
It may come as a shock to many, especially die-hard fans of the real-life couple, but Alia is not doing Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. According to our sources, the makers have roped in another actress opposite Ranbir and that is Sai Pallavi. Yes, you read that right! Sai Pallavi will play Sita in Ranbir titled Ramayana.
To be supported by Madhu Mantena, Ramayana has been in the headlines for a while now, in terms of its lead cast. Reports of Yash donning the role of Raavana have been rife but the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the same.
Alia, meanwhile, is set to start shooting for Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.
