Then we will see him play an interesting policeman in the upcoming comic caper Bunty Aur Babli 2. The film also stars Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari.
Pankaj Tripathi revealed that the film will give a lot of food to meme creators. “There will be a lot of memes. There is a lot of meme material in the movie. My character is very colorful, he considers himself a super cop who is very smart. “But his work style is very special, so it will be fun for people,” the actor said in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama.
“He hopes to become a great cop or he feels that he is in the process of becoming the greatest police officer. He always wanted to be an actor, but he ended up in the police. He is a movie cop but smart. He puts the old Bunty Babli behind the modern Bunty Babli to do his job. He feels that one cop has to be smart and that is why he makes one chase after the other. The audience will see different layers of him in the film “, added Pankaj Tripathi, talking further about his character.
Speaking about making comedic scenes for the film, the actor shared: “It is very difficult to recreate a comedy. You have to feel it happen for the first time. Sometimes you have to take a lot of shots. Even after 2-3 shots, the freshness and timing must be maintained. Making someone laugh is a difficult task. But the script of Varun (Sharma), the guidance and all the hard work that the actors did we hope will make people laugh.
Directed by Varun V. Sharma, Bunty Aur Babli 2 will be released in theaters on November 19.
