ΒΕΝΓΑΛΟΥΡΟΥ: If you are a fan of songs like Pappu Can’t Dance by Jaane Tu … Ya Jaane Na, Locha-e-Ulfat from 2 States or the title song by Hrithik Roshan starring Bang Bang, then get ready to wear your dancing shoes. The singer, Benny Dayal, of these popular Bollywood songs is coming to Bengaluru soon.
It’s very special because this will be Dayal’s first public appearance since the pandemic hit in 2020. Hosted by Envision and SteppinOut by Dineout, the event is in UB City on December 18th. “Bengaluru has always been a special place and I love the public here. I continue to visit Bengaluru quite often as my brother and sister-in-law live here. “But if you ask me what my favorite places are to hang out, I have none,” he says with a laugh. Speaking to us from Mumbai, he says, “I am home. So even when I get there, it ‘s usually for work or to spend time with my family at home. ”
The singer is known not only for his Bollywood songs but also for his voice which he has lent in numerous films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Canada, Bengal, Gujarat and Marathi. She recently sang Olavaagidhe by Ninna Sanihake, composed by Raghu Dixit. “I also sang Vaada Machaney for the release of OTT Meenakshi Sundareshwar,” says the singer.
But he was preoccupied with the pandemic, working in the studio of his home in Mumbai, hosting various virtual concerts. “There was not much time for anything else. I continued to work and successive projects took place. That way, I did not feel that the work had slowed down at all, “Dayal explains.
The pandemic allowed him to spend time at home with his wife, Catherine Dayal, making reels on Instagram. Whether it’s short fashion videos, dance videos or trends, the couple has continued to create fun content for their followers.
When we ask him about his upcoming projects, Dayal holds mom. “The most I can say at the moment is that I have worked and there are a lot of individual projects happening along with movies,” he says, adding, “Right now, I’re just working on them and looking forward to the new year. And no, my only decision for the New Year is not to make one “.
