Strange taxi‘The first feature film will be released soon later this summer and Crunchyroll is getting ready for release with a new synopsis for Odd Taxi: In the Woods! The original anime series had one of the most amazing debuts of 2021 overall, as while initially having a quiet premiere, the series gained huge fans with each new episode exploring its main story. The series was so big that it had an even bigger debut at the box office in Japan when it was released, and soon international fans will see what the fuss is about for themselves.
Crunchyroll has officially unveiled their schedule for the 2022 summer anime season and confirmed that they will be streaming Odd Taxi: In the Woods sometime in the coming months. Although there is no specific release date for the new movie yet, they have revealed more of what fans can expect to see from the mysterious movie it collects from the events of the original anime series with a new synopsis that gives us the best teasing for new movie yet.
The official description of Crunchyroll for Odd Taxi: In the Woods begins, “The stubborn and taciturn Odokawa cruises the city as a private taxi driver, doing his best to avoid socializing with others as he leads a normal life. However, he is unexpectedly drawn to the lost high school girl Nerima Ward. “People around him start making ominous claims about him, such as hearing voices from his apartment when he is supposed to be living alone.”
The description goes on to say: “Over 100 million yen, mysteriously motivated gangsters, up-and-coming idols, a college student who became famous and various other elements come into the mix as the situation spirals out of control. “It settles the situation at once. With a lot of sadness and irrationality, the sequence of events was resolved; or so it seemed.”
Finally, the synopsis is more about what happened after the events of the original series, “Once the case was over, the people involved testified what they saw behind the scenes and what really happened then. And linking them together, a new picture of they have turned the life of a taxi driver over, they are changing shape and the gears of the future are starting to tremble once again “.
