Keanu Ribs announced a new departure from his film career with the news that he has written his first novel.
The John Wick The actor appeared in a pre-taped segment on Good Morning America on Wednesday (January 10) to reveal that he has collaborated with award-winning author China Miéville on the new book.
The Book of Elsewhere takes place in his world BRZRKR Comedy Seriescreated by Reeves with writer Matt Kindt and artist Ron Garney.
The book's plot centers around an immortal warrior who embarks on a quest to understand why he was given eternal life.

“It was extraordinary to have the opportunity to collaborate on The Book of Elsewhere with one of my favorite authors, China Miéville,” Reeves said in a statement.
“China did exactly what I hoped – he came up with a clear architecture for the story and how he wanted to play with the world of BRZRKR, a world I love so much. I was excited about his vision and honored to be a part of that process cooperation”.
Miéville also shared his excitement, saying, “Sometimes the best games are the ones you play with other people's games. It was an honor, shock and delight when Keanu invited me to play.
“But I could never have predicted how generous he would be with the games he's spent so long creating, how happy we are to experiment together, how open to true collaboration.”

And he concluded: “I hope readers will experience even a fraction of the pleasure I experienced in writing the book of Else – in the serious work of the game.”
The BRZRKR comic was the number one best selling debut comic in over 25 years. The saga is set to expand further with a live action Netflix film starring Reeves, as well as an anime spin-off.
The actor will also reprise his role as John Wick in the new spin-off film, Ballerina. Set between the second and third installments of the popular franchise, Reeves will star alongside There is no time for death star Ana de Armas.
Book of Elsewhere will be released in July. Ballerina is scheduled for release on June 7. John Wick movies are available to buy or rent on Prime Videoplus DVD, Blu Ray and 4K Ultra HD.
