Napoleon Apple TV+ release date set for Ridley Scott's latest historical epic

The official Napoleon The Apple TV+ release date for Ridley Scott's latest historical drama has been revealed, more than two months after it hit cinemas.

When will Napoleon be streaming?

According Variety, the biographical drama starring Joaquin Phoenix will begin streaming Friday, March 1 on Apple TV+. During its theatrical run, the film earned a worldwide income of over $219 million at the box office. It is currently nominated for three Academy Awards, including Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, and Best Visual Effects.

“Napoleon is a spectacle-filled action epic detailing the checkered rise and fall of the iconic French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte,” reads the synopsis. “Amidst a stunning large-scale cinematic backdrop orchestrated by legendary director Ridley Scott, the film chronicles Bonaparte's relentless journey to power through the lens of his addictive, volatile relationship with his one true love, Josephine, projecting his visionary military and political tactics against some of the most dynamic practical battle sequences ever filmed.”

Napoleon was directed by Scott from a script written by David Scarpa. Phoenix features Vanessa Kirby, Tahar Rahim, Ben Miles, Ludivine Sagnier, Matthew Needham, Youssef Kerkour, Phil Cornwell and more. It was produced by Scott and Kevin Walsh for Scott Free.
