Digimon Adventure 02 is getting ready for a huge comeback with a new feature film and getting ready to reveal the first shots of this new movie later this summer! The Digimon franchise is now celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary and as a result, fans have seen the eight original Chosen Children from the first season of the series return for a full anime relaunch on TV and the movie Last Evolution Kizuna (which brought history to end). It was then announced that Digimon Adventure 02 DigiDestined would also be responding with a new movie in the near future.
Toei Animation announced it for the first time Digimon Adventure 02 would be getting a new movie of its own last summer during DigiFes last year, but unfortunately there were very few important updates on how this new movie is coming. But that will soon change as DigiFes 2022 is announced and one of the most important teasing coming for the new event is the teasing that fans will have to see the first snapshot of this new movie along with a celebration of the second series in general.

DigiFes 2022 will take place on July 30 in Japan and will celebrate both Digimon Adventure 02 (which will feature part of the new film) and Digimon Frontier, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. This will be the first major update to the new movie since its original announcement. Director Tomohisa Taguchi and writer Akatsuki Yamatoya return from Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizunaand it has been confirmed that the new Digimon Adventure 02 movie will take place two years after the events of this movie.
It has been rumored that he will have a new character advertised as the first person to meet a Digimon partner, but the specific details about his official title, history and possible release date are still very mysterious. The material from the original announcement went online shortly after the event in Japan last year, so cross your fingers so that the same happens with this first video.
