Paramount Plus new TV and movie releases for January 8-14, 2024 include The Exorcist, Maggie's Plan and Love & Basketball.
On January 8th, viewers can start streaming The Exorcist, a 1973 horror classic and the first horror film to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture. The story revolves around the demonic possession of a young girl and her mother's efforts to remove the evil spirit possessing her through an exorcism performed by Catholic priests.
Also at 8, viewers can catch Maggie's Plan, a romantic comedy drama written and directed by Rebecca Miller. Based on an original story by Karen Rinaldi, later published in 2017 as the book The End of Men, this film stars Greta Gerwig and Ethan Hawke in lead roles along with a supporting cast that includes Bill Hunter, Maya Rudolph, Travis Fimmel, Wallace Shawn. and Julianne Moore.
Finally, another movie coming out on the 8th is Love & Basketball, directed by Gina-Prince Bythewood and starring Omar Epps and Sanaa Lathan. The story revolves around two next-door neighbors and basketball players who fall in love while pursuing their respective careers.
