With over two decades in showbiz, actress Prachee Shah Paandya describes the current phase as her second appearance. It has been four years since she made her last TV show Ek Shringaar Swabhiman and has since focused entirely on OTT movies and series.
The actor, who was recently in Lucknow, says: “I am so happy that important, well-done and essential roles are being offered. On the one hand, I make hardcore commercial films like Judwa-2, ABCD-2 and Laxmii, while on the other it is Property and Chhatriwali where I am very happy with my character chart. “I’m a kid from the ’90s, so I like commercials and I balance them with realistic movies.”
Shah says the transition from television to film was not easy. “It’s been 4 years and they still often suggest me a show, but I can not block my appointments as I make movies and my dance shows are there. I will definitely do TV again as I believe that one day they will become good finite series. Movie and OTT do not pay you as much as TV, but then they are interesting as you work with young people on different projects. That way I can have less work, but if you are sure of what you know and your art, you will definitely find a job “.
She is very clear in her thoughts. “I realized that everything can not be alone! It has been 21 years since I did it Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and to this day people associate me with that. At the same time, they come to me saying that they have just seen Hum Do Humre Do on their cell phone. So, the range has expanded and it feels great that you are on the right track. ” Then we will see it in Ahmed Khan’s Om: The Battle Within starring Aditya Roy Kapoor. “Besides, I’m in discussions about two more films and shooting for my first OTT series will start in April.”
The actor hopes that the creators consider her for unpackaged roles. “I wish someone would give me as a policeman or something wild and strong. “I have done military training, horseback riding, rifle shooting and what not, I hope it happens and I am sure of it.”
Speaking about her visit, she says, “My main inclination towards Lucknow is due to the kathak that has brought me here many times. I shot Property here for almost 30 days and for this movie I stayed 20 days. I also like to wear chikankari as my favorite outfit is salwar kamiz besides saris. And, my love for chaat, but I did not do that much as I was dieting. “
Shah has not received any acting training, but her other efforts have helped her a lot. “My kathak, my experience with the stage, my vocabulary training, my classical vocals and my Hindustani sitar have helped me in acting. Technically, I am a student of architecture and science. Unbeknownst to me, everything I learn from my childhood comes in handy. “Although I was a great student, I will credit my parents for this report,” she said in a signature note.
