According to a recent media report, Adipurush has recovered over 85% of its budget of Rs 500 crore.
Om Raut’s Adipurush – starring Prabhas as Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita (Janaki) and Saif Ali Khan as Ravanan, has been in news ever since it was announced. While the film received heavy criticism for its VFX after its teaser was unveiled on October 2, 2022, the T-Series project is not getting more love for its songs and elaborate VFX work.
As fans wait another 2 weeks for the film to release – it will hit theaters on June 16. a new media report states that the film has earned a huge chunk of its budget already through non-theatrical revenue sources. Read on to find out all about the deets.
According to a recent report by Bollywood Hungama, Adipurush has already recovered nearly 85% of its budget before it hits theaters on Friday, June 16. According to the report, the Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan starrer film managed to collect a whopping Rs 432 crores of the said Rs 500 crores budget.
How exactly did Adipurush manage to garner these returns before its release? According to the report, the Om Raut directorial – based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, managed to earn Rs 247 crores from non-theatrical revenues which include satellite rights, music rights, digital rights and other ancillary rights.
Along with this, Prabhas co-star Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan have earned Rs 185 crores as a minimum guarantee from her theatrical income in the South. Considering these numbers, the upcoming T-series movie has already recovered Rs 432 croresaka 86.4% of its Rs 500 crores budget, before it hits the screens.

According to the website, trade predictions claim that Adipurush’s venture will see an exponential opening collection and predictions indicate that it could see over Rs 100 crores comes on its first three days (first weekend) – only from the Hindi version.
Apart from Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, Adipurush also stars Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage in pivotal roles.
