The talk of Samantha Ruth Prabhu making her Bollywood debut has been around for quite some time. The actor became popular with the public of North India after the success of The Family Man 2 of Amazon Prime Video.

The latest buzz is that Samantha has been approached to play the lead role in a new Taapsee Pannu film. According to information, Taapsee’s Outsiders Films plans to produce a female thriller and Samantha is the first place for this role. Official confirmation is expected soon.

Meanwhile, there were rumors that Samantha replaced Nayanthara in the upcoming Atlee movie with Shah Rukh Khan. This was later refuted in a report. Samantha starred as Raji, a former Sri Lankan Tamil rebel in exile, in The Family Man S2. There were also rumors that Samantha had moved to Mumbai as part of her job, which she herself has denied.

Taapsee Pannu released Outsiders Films earlier this year. Their maiden production, Blurr, is wrapped up. Directed by Ajay Bahl, the psychological thriller stars Taapsee with Gulshan Devaiah. Samantha is currently on vacation.

On the work front comes Vignesh Shivan’s pan-fantasy film Shaakunthalam and Vathesh Shivan’s Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. He has also signed two Tamil-Telugu bilingual films with Shantharuban and director Hari and Harish.
