The first teaser of Mahesh Bhatt’s new online series for VootSelect, called Ranjish Hi Sahi, has been released. And has Seal of Mahesh Bhatt everywhere. A love story that deals with infidelity and movies, topics that the director has dealt with in previous works. However, Ranjish Hi Sahi, starring Amala Paul, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Amrita Puri, is written only by Bhatt and written and directed by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj.
So far, we know that Bhasin’s character is a director who, although married to Puri’s character, gets involved with Paul’s character. There are quick cuts that let the public know that this is a dramatic ride. From Bhasin’s two comrades facing each other to Bhasin’s ambitions as a creative force, Ranjish Hi Sahi tries to find everything for the promo.
The official synopsis of the play says: “Against the backdrop of the golden age of Bollywood in the 70’s with great music, the series revolves around the lives of the struggling director Shankar (Tahir), the diva Aamna (Amala Paul) and his wife Shankar, Anju (Amrita). An intricate triangle where the fledgling film director finds a soulmate in last year’s Bollywood A-list actress, leaving his wife stunned and torn between two worlds. Will Shankar be able to sort out the tangled thread of emotion and turmoil?
The release date of the VootSelect series has not yet been announced.
