After the Skywalker saga ended with Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of SkywalkerDisney is trying to find what to do with the next generation Star Wars. While the TV works well so far, it is still unclear where the movies are going. At least one project has a few more updates now as it states that Star Wars film by Marvel boss Kevin Feige will be written by the same screenwriter Doctor Strange 2.
Kevin Feige is making a new movie “Star Wars” for Disney
In 2019, it was announced that Feige would produce one Star Wars movie for Lucasfilm and Disney. According techradar.com, not much has been announced about the project since. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy said the project was still in the “early stages”. There were rumors that Chloe Zhao, its director Eternal and Nomadlandwill be commissioned to direct, but nothing has been confirmed.
Many Star Wars Fans are wondering where the next one is Star Wars movie will transport them to a galaxy far, far away. There are no updates on Feige’s yet Star Wars project as to when and where it will take place. However, now there is more information on who will direct this new project.
“Doctor Strange 2” writer Michael Waldron will write Feige “Star Wars”
In January 2021, it was reported by Deadline that Waldron would write Feige’s Star Wars film. However, we now have verbal confirmation that Waldron is working on it as the author talked about it in a recent episode of Deadline Hero Nation Podcast. The author said he does not return to write Loki season 2 as he is busy with Star Wars.
“It has been reported – and I have spoken about it – that Eric Martin has taken over as lead author at [Loki] season 2 “, said Waldron. “Eric was my second in the first season… and I was obviously busy writing so little Star Wars movie as well. And yes, it was made by another guy named Kevin. But I think [Loki season 2] it will be fantastic. “
Waldron had previously worked with Feige in his first season Loki and up Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness. Waldron’s other credits include: Rick and Morty and Heels.
Feige’s work is not the only film being developed at Lucasfilm
Star Wars recently made a switch to live action TV and was very successful with The Mandalorian and The book by Boba Fett. Obi-Wan Kenobi with the return of Ewan McGregor as the title character coming soon to Disney +. Other TV shows in the works include Αχσόκα, Andor, Landoand The Follower.
