Considering that Scream It’s been over a decade without a movie, the franchise’s 25-year-old fans have an undeniable sense of excitement – and new (or next-generation) horror fans are eager to experience the iconic slasher ad campaign on their own. Now, Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group have begun to tap into the deep-rooted love that fans have shown. Scream, with the latest addition being a riveting experience centered on Woodsboro.
On Twitter and Instagram, there were ScreamWoodsboro Postcard (including a sent us) who shared a message from the Woodsboro Horror Film Club run by ARG (Alternate Reality Game) characters Sarah and Ash. The characters welcome people to the club, along with a reference to their TikTok page (@TooBrAshSarah which we should also note is most likely an anagram for STAB, Scream in-universe film franchise) with some fun video teasing Scream relevant content.
The videos feature some of TikTok’s typical quirky tropes and references to horror fans, with a remarkable revelation that the two take place in the fictional city of Woodsboro. In a more recent video, we learn that Ghostface may be back in town and that the killings may have started again – suggesting that much more will follow with the horror-loving Sarah and Ash duo.
