Vijay Deverakonda is currently promoting Liger for which the actor has garnered attention from his huge fan following in the country. Co-starring Ananya Panday, the film is already one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Despite the popularity, the South actor’s mother decided to do a kind of pooja at their Hyderabad residence to take the blessings of the Almighty and got holy bands for the team.

Vijay Deverakonda posted a series of pictures from the pooja held for his success Liger. Just like any other mother, the actor’s mother is also praying for the film and she was also seen tying the holy straps on the wrists of Vijay and Ananya Panday. The actor took to Twitter to share, “This whole month of touring India and getting so much love has already felt like God’s blessing! But mom feels we needed his protection 🙂 So Poooja ???????? and sacred bands for all of us ???? Now she will sleep peacefully as we continue our tour ????❤️ #Liger”

Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday have embarked on a ‘Fandom Tour’ across the country which will see them visiting many cities including North and South. On the Warangal tour in Telangana, Vijay had spoken about the love he received during the promotions saying, “Wherever I went in India, people showered a lot of love on me. People came in unexpected numbers. I don’t understand why they are showing so much love, but whatever is happening, it basically started from here (in Telugu movies). I will never forget the love you shed. On August 25, your love must be returned. Thanks to all the audience. I love you.”
Talking about Liger, the film will mark Vijay’s Bollywood debut. Directed by popular filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, it is also the first film of the Pan India actor and actress. Also starring Ramya Krishnan as Vijay’s mother, the film will also see American boxing legend Mike Tyson in a pivotal role. Produced by Dharma Productions, the film is slated to release on August 25 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
