On its release Welcome back Anees claimed that Firoz had agreed to pay him 11.27 crores as director’s fee. Out of this he actually paid him only 6,64,50,000 crores. The Anees had voluntarily given up Rs.2,62,50,000. Anees only wanted Firoz to give him Rs 2 crores from the pending payment. This obviously did not happen.

At that time, Anees was extremely hurt by the non-payment. Multiple sources say past experience had made Anees wary of further association with me.
